County Commander's Message
July 22, 2020
Legionnaires, I hope this finds you all in good health. We are seeing that social distancing, hand washing and most importantly masks are helping to slow this virus, please use them!
The Suffolk County American Legion has been working, getting ready to move on to our new year.
We are currently working on a 10th District visit by our Legion Family Department leaders. More to come on this as we finalize what must be done. Bill Farley has been appointed as 1st Division Commander, and Bruce Bianco moves to 2nd and 10th District American Legion Riders Director. Dave Issac's will be the Suffolk County Riders Director. Our organizational meeting will be at Smith-Weaver Post 651 on August 7. Masks will be required, a repast at 1900.
We are going to have "Post Everlasting" service at the December 4th County meeting. The Legion Family is invited.
Please be careful and use the "new" skills we have learned with COVID-19.
Suffolk County Membership Renewals
Legionnaires, it's time to renew your membership in the American Legion.
The Legion membership year begins on July 1, 2020 and ends on June 30, 2021.
The easiest way to renew your membership is to go online at the link below:
You will just need your membership number (on your Member ID Card) and a credit card. The process takes all of 5 minutes. Each year, more members take advantage of this quick and easy method to maintain their membership.
While you are at it it, why not invite a fellow veteran to join? Many of us joined when we were asked to join.
Remember: Membership is everybody's job.
